Hey if I'm going to be duck in the pond I might as well have some fun and go fast

I don't know about 150, I'm still 3000 lbs. and it's not like that full chassis ice cream machine, it is still a half back car.

Having been in the 140's definitely makes it easier to work the stripe, for me anyways.

Back is doing good, I should be ready to go for Reynolds

What happened to the race before Reynolds? Didnt you find some "Rent-a-Drunks" to help you finish the car?

Good point! Plenty of time for Atlanta. You got the best rent-a-drunks around, besides Griggs of course!!!

Thumbs up Re: 150 mph s/st?

Vinny, Ya'll (that's a southern term Lynn)are going to have to feed me and dad at the track from now on. Once again, tell your wife, mom, and big V thank you for the hospitality. We can't wait for the Atlanta points meet. Tell your dad to bring some of that sauce, man that stuff is good

Wasn't our own CBS Jr. (a local guy from around here) one of the first SST cars in the 150's?

I honestly thought about adding a bunch of weight to my car so I could race SST and be one of the fast guys, but I think I'd rather make it REALLY slow in SG (like Ted Seipel is doing). Besides, I still don't have a parachute on it anyways

Heyyyyyy, I saw my name somewhere on here!
I have nearly 4 secs in the stop to slow me down to 144 mph.... I got sick of all the dirty looks I was getting going 150.
Oh Yeah, being fast does not make you a winner. Just ask the guys running 118, 120 and 125 who continually beat me. Damn slow pokes!

see you guys at Reynolds! (I'm pretty happy Shell got me that cool suit, it's gonna be smokin hot)

Talking about MPH in S/ST, when pro-stock first started (in the early 70's), their MPH was slower that most S/ST cars now. Wonder what speeds we'll see in a few years ?
