Default Diesel Pusher

I am looking at a 2000 Monaco Windsor 40' 1 slide 350 Cummins, and Allison trans. I tow a 24' enclosed will it have the power I need? any comments welcome. I now have a 2004 Georgetown V-10 and is pretty good for towing.

Thanks

You should be happy. My 300HP American Eagle pusher pulled 28 ft trailer and only struggled up the grapevine in CA. 8MPG

If you liked your V10 you'll love the 350 Cummins. Just make sure there isn't any open campaigns and that maintenance has been kept up to date. On long grades you may be passed by larger DP's (450-600 Cummins are becoming more common) but will keep up with heavy trucks no problem. If not a side radiator keep your eye on temps pulling an enclosed.

My 275 HP Cat pulled a 26 foot trailer with a '55 Cheby to Ohio and back a couple of weeks ago. 9.7 mpg and only struggled on the LONG west bound pull into Albuquerque. Just gave it a little boost to 335 hp and increased the torque by 60 foot pounds. Really pulls the trailer better, will know after next weekends tow to Tucson if the fuel economy changes.
