Wagons work for Super Stock.
Troy Olsonosky.

And for Stock, too.
Jody Lang.

At least out here in the North Woods...

Why don't you just build the motor and put it in the Super 10?

Dwight,

That is an option. Deal is, I have current and up-coming team members that need a race car, thus, building a second super stocker.

I have already planted seeds with Gary Hettler about the engine parts.

I did not think a vette was legal for GT. did that change when the year rule was changed.

Any car listed in the Stock Car Classification Guide is eligible for either a Super Stock or GT build. The 2015 rules no longer list year limitations for either SS or GT, but I do remember that from then past.

EDIT: I saw a '55 Chevy with an LS motor in one of the NHRA finals a few years ago. It was a GT car.

Attention in the pits! Super stock to the lanes!

Once again, thanks to all with comments and suggestions.

The decision has been made. I have taken delivery of a 1987 Camaro RS that is completely factory original.[ less engine and trans. ]

Looking at pros and cons the 3rd gen has many advantages and fits all of my original specifications. The 3rd gen is a proven package, relatively easy to build, relatively easy to work on, plenty of parts available.

I will begin a new construction post for this buildup.

Yes I checked the rule book. You are correct. Sports cars and wagons can now be run in GT class.
