Re: atco rumor
As far as I know, the holding company still owns the track. I believe there are efforts in motion to try and buy the track from the company, but I don't believe any deals have been made yet. I've heard the Antron Brown and Fletcher Cox rumors, along with a few other big names that may be trying to purchase the track. Luckily the state DEP, along with the town, have specifically stated that the property will only ever be a Racetrack, or open space. The Mullica River runs about 500ft from the end of the track, so the concerns of water pollution due to insurance cars not having their fluids drained, as seen at Englishtown, led to the decision to not allow IAA to use the property as intended.
