Re: 305 Chev Sleeves?
You can try Darton as their site does mention custom sleeves. Might get costly but best to call.

Dyno,
Much cheaper to sleeve a 307 Chev block. Some of them were cast on 350 cores. Jerry |

Re: 305 Chev Sleeves?
If you want to sleeve 350 down to 305, I would look @ melling CSL283 is 3.800 bore which you could finish to 3.796 if you were going .060 or could go .070 or .080 CSL 283 is 1/8'' wall so OD should be where it will press into 4.050 hole w/ about .002 press.
As J Ryan said a 307 would be good choice also. I had Darton make some custom sleeves years ago for 4 cyl. project,at that time you had to do a min. of 12 pieces I believe. Mike Taylor 3601 |

Re: 305 Chev Sleeves?
Was'nt small bore version 3.875?
If buying new might check Dart they may make something, have seen them make some special blocks, had customer that got 2 solid Big M's,cast iron no water jackets, they had extra deck left if remember we were able to make 11.675 deck height. Did move these without using overhead hoist. Mike Taylor 3601 |
