Re: LEGAL CARB #'s for ss/mod
I got the 750 Demon with air horn approved when I ran the Buick V6 in SS/DS. I still have it. I'll look tomorrow to see if there's a # on it.

Re: LEGAL CARB #'s for ss/mod
No # on the carb, but here's the link to the page on the BG site. I paid about $700 5 years ago but once you get it there's nothing more to do but tune it.

Re: LEGAL CARB #'s for ss/mod
On the BG site it looks like the number for the 750 is Part # 1402010DR
750 Competition Speed Demon. I've been alternating between an old 4779 holley by DaVinci and a DC Carbs (David Cook) 3310-1 when running SS/DS. Neither carb is bored to the max oversize. They go through Tech real easy.

Re: LEGAL CARB #'s for ss/mod
Don't spend a lot of money for the right carb and then have to throw it away. You can remove the choke blade but you can NOT mill off the air horn. That's why BG made these carbs with an air horn, so they were legal for SS/Mod. Read the page I linked to.
