On an angle would get them CC's down but not with a "spokeshave"...lol

An 041 head is a 350 head. Are you asking about putting an 041 head on a 307? If you are, then it would wind up being pretty much the same as a 73/307.

You might end up with about 8.5-1. If I might make a suggestion? Put a 305 head on it. Even a small valve 305 head would make for a nicer driver than the 041 head.

Already have the 041 head and might build something a little bigger later the 307 has a lot of miles on it
