Default Jimmy Stevens

Chris Stevens just posted the passing of his dad Jimmy. Jim Stevens was a hero to many of us Ford enthusiasts during the 70s with his Boss 302 powered '27 Ford B/SR and record holding B/SM Maverick. He & his son Chris had been involved with a LSR Ford Flathead roadster for at least the last couple decades. He will be greatly missed by many.

R.I.P. Jim. May God comfort the family at this tough time.

I remember both of the cars mentioned, 27 Ford B/SR and the B/SM Maverick.

Condolences to Jim Steven’s family. Very sad to hear of his passing. I never met Jim but I traveled to Lancaster, California to buy his car. I loved shifting that car with a bench seat . Oddly the person who bought it from men in 1992 introduced himself to me at a race in 2023 after 30 years. He still has Jim Steven’s maverick… same paint. RIP Jim Stevens.

Jimmy I believe was also a Bonneville record holder with that same roadster I think with flathead power. His turbo charged flathead engine also set records in a streamliner
