Default TNT Series adds THIRD 10.90 race to Double-Header weekend!

8.90/10.90 event promises record car counts!

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (August 26, 2008) The rain date for the August 10th Joe’s Transmission TNT 10.90 Super Series event has been added to the upcoming Sep 13-14 Double-Header weekend at Toronto Motorsports Park. The Aug 10th event presented by KC Auto Parts will be run on Saturday Sep 13th and a record car count is expected. “Rescheduling this event was difficult. We’re running out of time and had very few available weekends to choose from,” said TNT Series Director Ted Barnes. This late in the season and with the weather this year, bringing everyone back for an additional date wasn’t feasible. And with most of the TNT racers planning to attend the Bieda’s Powersports/Scott Jahren Paint Double-Header weekend, adding a 3rd race was the obvious solution. “We went out to the racers for their input and they came back with resounding support for the idea!”

Saturday’s schedule (subject to change):

11:30 -Qualifying for 10.90 RACE 1
1:00 -Eliminations for 10.90 RACE 1
3:00 -Qualifying for 10.90 RACE 2
**ET’s from 10.90 RACE 1 first round will also count as a qualifier for RACE 2**
-Qualifying for 8.90
5:00 -Eliminations for 10.90 RACE 2
-Eliminations for 8.90
8:00 -King of the Hill Runoff

>> On Saturday, 10.90 RACE 2 and 8.90 BOTH pay $1000/win! <<

Sunday’s schedule (subject to change):

11:30 -Qualifying for 10.90
-Qualifying for 8.90
1:00 -Eliminations for 10.90
-Eliminations for 8.90
**The 8.90 race on Sunday will only take place if enough racers are interested. Payout is “TNT regular payout”**

The schedule is aggressive but the TNT folks are confident they can get it done. Toronto Motorsports Park is also running a gambler’s ET race both days which the 8.90/10.90 racers can enter. “Remember, if you purchase an ET tech card, you don’t have to pay the $15 at the gate for TNT,” added Ted. Throttle stops ARE allowed in ET competition at Toronto Motorsports Park.

The next event on the 2008 Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series schedule is Friday Sept 5th at Dunn Tire Raceway Park. Visit www.dunntireracewaypark.com for further details.
