Your probably allowing it to smooth everything . It will indeed change everything on the map, including your idle areas if you allow it to do that. I don't smooth at that time.. After transferring to base, if you want to smooth all the changes (which is a good idea), go back into your map, highlight everywhere BUT your idle area, and maybe your WOT row, and hit smooth.
Also, if the learn map is coming up with changes in the idle area on its own somehow, just zero them before transferring. If its doing that, something in your setup is not right. The learn is in 8 cell blocks or something like that, so it will "bleed" learning down into areas that are not selected.

That is what I have been doing, telling to smooth. I guess I just thought that since I just had the learn on from 5000 on up that it would only affect that range. I guess I was wrong. Thanks for the help.
