Re: 70's & 80's Pro Stockers
Yes, that was a Carlton-Hodges chassis he borrowed to run at Columbus. Landy wrecked his original Dart twice. He rebuilt it the first time.

Re: 70's & 80's Pro Stockers
Here's one for ya. I bought this a while back being told it was a pro stocker. 70 maverick Dana 60 ladder bars. No engine or trans. I sanded to the original 70s war paint. Let me know if you recognize the car as I don't have any real history on it.

Hey! I owned that car. I wish I could post a picture of the car when I raced it but I don't know how... Last edited by freddyboy; 04-03-2015 at 09:57 PM. |

I don't know where the Mahogany Rush record photo went but I'm talking about the 1980 Mahogany Rush Dodge Omni. Yes it did. I know that Joe Roy drove it when the car was still a Pro Stock but that didn't last too long. Rene Lessard bought it, I don't know what year that was, made a couple of passes and put it away for some years. I bought it in 1993, had it rebuilted with a new rear frame and a new cage. I raced it from 1995 to 1999, won a few races, Ran 8.77-153 best, with a cast iron heads 446c.i., then I sold it to a guy from Regina sask. It hasn't changed much since. I haven't talked to the current owner for the past two years but I think he is still racing it. I don't know how to post pics. Sorry. Last edited by freddyboy; 04-03-2015 at 10:35 PM. |
