Default New usa format and schedule

New Usa Format And Schedule
We had the USA banquet last night, we had a good crowd on hand. We discussed a new format and schedule for 2009. We have given it a lot of thought, and everyone there thought it would work well.
So here goes, first of all, our races will be at the BIR and the Earlville points races with another one the week before the Earlville points race. It will not be a seperate race, we will use the main race to determine the top 8 finishers that belong to USA.
We will have a payout for stock and super stock and should be able to pay 8 places in both classes. The ammount is determined by the amount of racers we have in the club. Over the last few years we have had 60 to 80 members, so we should have a good payout for both BIR and Earlville. The extra race at Earlville will be funded by our advertising in the Sportsman Times that will be handed out during the 3 races. If we get our average amount of members joining, we could have races that pay $400-$500 to win for each class at each race. Thats about half as much that you could win from NHRA. Now your going to ask, "how are you going to determine the winners"? The top 8 members left in the program will be the winners. If there is a tie, the best package will dominate. It is possible to not even be in the semi's or the final and win the USA money! The amount of the payout will be determined bt the number of club members. We had 22 sign up at the banquet last night, so we have a good start. If you join the club, your in for all the races.
I can see possibilities of over a 100 members this year with this style of format. If we can pickup a sponser and sell some advertising, we could even schedule another race. Where else can you have a chance to pickup extra money racing and not wearing out the equipment! If you want more info, e-mail me, we will be updating everything on the USA web site. Another thing is, if you want to participate and join the club, please don't wait until the race. Remember, all the board mrmbers for USA are racers, and it would be nice if the memberships were taken care of before hand, so get your membership in before hand and that will also help in determining how much the payout will be.
The Membership is $50 for the year. if interested in joining, mail a check and put your name and address phone# class and car# to
