Default TX overlength permit

Anyone know how much the over length permit is in TX.I have a 38' motor home and a 31' trailer? Is the permit per trip, per month, or for the year?

Thanks. Do you know if LA and OK have reciprocal agreements on permits?

From talking to someone who has one of the permits you have to be a commercial vehicle and have a CDL and a DOT number to acquire the permit.
He used a lawyer to get his.

What is your home states length law? We have a reciprocal agreement here in Texas. As example out law is 65' max, but Oklahoma is 70' so that is honored.

Found some discrepancies in reviewing the generally available guides and then going and double checking against some actual state laws. I've generally used the following and then 'assumed' reciprocity with all states.

Ed, do you think this AAA version is most accurate?

Ed, if I understand you correctly if Someone is legal in the state where their vehicles are registered then they would be legal in Texas?
