Is this required for MH &trailer .I checked on the web ,didn't understand half of it. I think that Larry Hill might be able to help. Thanks Rick.

Rick
I am from Florida and my rig is 68 ft long nose to tail. I have not had any problems in the SE. I don't stop at the scales or agriculture checkpoints either. They won't bother you in a motor home

Re: Fla. overlength permit
Rick,
$20.00 for a yearlong blanket permit. We have had one every year since we started racing in Florida. Now that we live in Texas we still get one every year, even if we have no current plans to go to Florida (just because plans change). In the past it has taken up to 3 weeks to get the permit through the mail. This year I had the permit in hand 4 days after I submitted the application. It's a December/off season thing for us. Bill |

Re: Fla. overlength permit
A few years ago Fla Dot stopped and ticketed several sprint car teams for over length rigs. Reports are of heavy fines. Twenty bucks is cheap. The overall length in Fla is 65 feet.

Re: Fla. overlength permit
Rick, for $20 and peace of mind, we just get one every year.
https://gis.dot.state.fl.us/PermitAp...plication.aspx I think this is where you apply. Patsy |
