By the way, this Volare is the ex Arlen Vanke, Charlie Castaldo Fun City Flyer Duster.
Tom, I have no idea when or where I found this photo. It may have been a Facebook Pro Stock page, Google image search, etc....I dunno...don't recall. Sorry.

Speaking of re-bodied race cars, here's the ex-Bob Glidden 1970 Mustang Pro Stocker converted to a 1973(?) model of Larry Sengstack.

To me, the Pro Stock class ended when they stopped resembling production vehicles; when they started using body styles that were never V-8 powered and especially those that were front wheel drive vehicles originally.

My favorite (and as far as I'm concerned the best) Pro Stock era is the Bill Jenkins/Sox&Martin/Dick Landy/Don Nicholson/Wally Booth/Don Carlton/early Bob Glidden/Gapp & Roush and etc., era.

P.S. Glad to see you post. I was wondering the other day what happened to you because I haven't seen any posts from you in this section of the forum.

Oh I'm still alive and have good health. Thanks for thinking about me. I'm just playing with my toys. I'm rebuilding a 79 Corvette right now. Might make it an NMCA Nostalgia/MC. That seems like the least expensive way to go since IHRA has died. I'm not into spending the money for all the stuff they allow these days. NHRA cost to much for me. At 72 years of age I still have a hard time getting drag racing out of my system. I will post as long as Ken will still allow me to. I still ride the Harley and help put on the local car shows.
Have a great New Year

If they're yours, call 'em out.

Pete

P.S. Those Bill Bagshaw photos are super!

Really? I never thought anyone else would even think about building such an ugly race car again. Lol.

Thank you. You're right, they don't.
