Re: Colorful Racer's Secret Test session
Yesterday at National Trails !!!
First ,, Ruth those Graphics are awesome ,,, Thanks for the tribute Now ,, National trails ,,, Well ,,, 1st ,,, time trial I go up late ,,, but the lanes were empty ,, No Supergas Ummmmm ? Whitin 30 seconds the whole class came in behind me ,, you know like duck season ,, Well Doug Mc... drew the short straw ,, and we were the first pair down,,,, BUT before that ,, while we are in the lanes waiting ,, CBS runs up to the head of staging with a role of toilet paper !@#$ Now thats great for my EGO ,with everbody looking and laughing ,, Thanks CBS for your continued support . Anyway , I couldn't get down and Doug goes 9.905 @ 15something ( Yea, he was showing off ),,, now Jason I'm missing my small block , it always got down any track . After the next pair couldn't get down ,, they shut the track down to 1/8 mile ,, of course I got blamed for that ,,,,, to make a long story short ,, I still don't have a full pass on the car , but the 3 ,,1/8 mile runs were great for getting me use to the big block . HI POINT ,,,, I did get to TT with MR. CBS ,, and it was kind of cool being side by side not looking over my shoulder ,,, and If anybody cares ,,,, CBS was -.oo1 and I was +.003 on the tree ,,, We both ran a 6.33 , and a 6.36 on a 6.30 dail in ,,, and I'm counting that as one victory against CBS,,, By the way CBS ,, was dialing my car so he is a good sport but I 'm still counting that run as ONE whipping from Colorful ,,, All in All we had a great time ,, got some runs in and testing next to CBS was priceless !!!! Colorful Racer Hopefully ,, he will still let me test at Norwalk if Ican get off of work ?

Re: Colorful Racer's Secret Test session
Showing off??????? I only get about one of those passes a year. I had to try and look like I knew what I was doing beside the legendary Colorful. My "LITTLE" big block sure is nice to have on those marginal tracks.
Special Thanks to PMS, aka Tim Dimond! |

With all the spies we have on here, I would think we'd have pictures of the scoreboards posted by now...

Re: Colorful Racer's Secret Test session
Talking about small world ,,, Yes I was at Quaker testing but I didn't see anyone that is on this board ?
Nothing , changed ,, worked on car/Chasis etc ,,,, untill 3:30 AM , loaded and went to bed ! Pulled in to Quaker about noon , and got ready !!! Off the trailer with CBS's numbers , ( I wish I could take the credit ) the car went ,,,, keep in mind I was at Quaker city where 9:90 was adjusted to 9.980 due to attitude of track when we ran the Div. 3 points meet there ,,,, 1.712 - 60 ft.,,, 4.903 - 330 ,,,6.958 @ 130MPH -1/8th and please keep in mind that I had a couple of vacum leaks , carb is fat etc ,,, still not fine tuned --- 9.987 @ 166.56 !!!!!!!!!! ,,,, And the best news it was straight down the grove !!! Are you ready ,, YES I'm ready ,,,,, Ruth can fill in the rest of the song !! Jason I may not win another round but I have to say That Big Block is something else !! Colorful " Made it down the track " Racer
