Default P-Q-R Stock

Looking for thoughts on this build. 1968 Ford
Galaxie 500 302/210 carb heads and cam look good but would it be possible to get a HP break?

Bill, don't waste your time. The car is too big and the carb is too small. NHRA will never give you back enough HP to make it competitive with the 72 and later 2V 302s and even if they did, you would never be able to get the car light enough.

It was just a thought because the car is in good condition and the price isn't bad.
I have been thinking about running Q with a 283/220/217 in my car. I see someone in division 5 is running that combination.

Bill, Should be an easy .5 under deal ,with the right manifold and carb, 3-speed.
A lot more if you dump a bunch of money into it. LOL

Mark this car was built on Classracer in 2001. I used a 586 gear and ran in U/SA and P/SA. With all the help that I received here it didn't cost too much and went .5 under in good weather.
With a 614 gear, 3 speed and the good springs and rockers that we can run now I should be able to play with the slower cars.
I blew up my good 283/195/175 motor at the Gators in 2004. I found out that the small Rochester 2bbl creates vacuum at higher rpm and pulls the power valve off.
