Default IHRA Drops Shreveport Track

http://www.ihra.com/News/2012/04/10/1/

So did IHRA drop Shreveport for the same reason they moved the race to Crandall, or did the Shreveport track tell IHRA to get stuffed after they moved the race?

Thunder Road Raceway in Shreveport just announced that as of next week, they will be NHRA sanctioned again. Maybe they can get a points race back there too, instead of having two Houston points races.

Good to see the track isn't left hanging. I like the place and they have some of the best track food I've ever eaten!

This is about the fourth or fifth time they've switched.

The flag hanging at the gate is not what makes a track what it is.

They didn't want to change. Didn't really have a choice. The IHRA div director called Tim Pafford and cancelled the bracket finals that were going to be there. Again his excuse is the Track was junk. As I was told all the names the div. director had that were complaining about the track had not even bought a Tech card at the track while Tim managed it.
This is just a "He said--- She Said"
Make your own call but it probably has someting to do with personalities and people that are all involved or have been involved with the track.
