Pomona almost filled with grade 7?
Is this a trend? Or is this only a west coast thing?

Re: Pomona almost filled with grade 7?
Nah. Pomona was one of the only events last year that filled almost every sportsman class (if not every sportsman class), and it did it early last year too. The Grade 8 vs. Grade 6 thing isn't going to change anything, except allow those Grade 8 people to give NHRA their money 2 weeks earlier.

Re: Pomona almost filled with grade 7?
Well, it's filled on the opening day of grade 6's, I didn't check it yesterday to get an idea of how many grade 6's made it.
Yesterday was opening day for grade 8's at the CSK Nats, and 34 of the 100 spots in SC are already full, so I don't know if this is a knee jerk reaction by those who were watching Pomona, or what?? |

It's only a West Coast thing. In the Southeast, you can enter any national you want, as the quotas hardly ever get filled.
