Add ATF or repair/replace trans?
Our 2007 Explorer Sport Trac V8, 6 speed automatic, with 115k, slips in overdrive and when making a right turn after a stop. In years past this usually indicated time to add trans fluid. I looked for the dipstick and couldn't find one . Manual says there is none as this tranny doesn't leak and to take to dealer for service. Help! Is there a way to check and add fluid, or does this really need to go to the dealer for repair? That just sounds expensive.
Thanks, Rick Carlson
