Default Crank Trigger Adjustment

I've never seen this mentioned before, When you set your timing on your crank trigger then set the distributer on number one plug how far can you advance or retard the crank trigger before you have adjust the distributer again ? Or you must adjust the distributer every time ? Thanks< By the way I'm not talking big changes just 2 or 4 Degrees

If you move it over 2 degrees I believe you need to check rotor phasing. I’ve got a complete tutorial somewhere and will find it if needed.
