Re: OLD Modified Corvettes
However you classify it, make class breaks, etc this would become the most popular area running for guys who want to be a winner for building the better car, motor, driving best. No More bogus winner, No more factored if you work hard. A place to start your racing for less money. It wont happen because of Politics of current set up.
No Sealed Motor, No crate motor, either. No Big Money pushing them in NHRA. |

Re: OLD Modified Corvettes
It would have to be a nostalgia class to manage costs (1980 rulebook?), otherwise, the guy with the most money would buy the best parts (everything aftermarket) and win. Look at the Super Modifieds in Comp. Its the closest thing to the evolution of MP.
Most people couldn`t care less. No dry hops, no big wheelstands, same RPM`s just not the same thing. Happy, Healthy New Year to all. Mike A114 |

Re: OLD Modified Corvettes
All, I found a cool picture of Dick Moroso's car while looking at some old Jones mechanical Tach articles. Too bad HD camcorders weren't invented yet. I looked back at some of my posts on page 7 and 8 and redid the youtube links. I might dig up some more film this winter. Its good to see this thread still alive.
