Bah! Humbug! my *****. ( I thought that was appropriate considering that it's Christmas.) Be thankful that Dodge and Mopar are stepping up to the plate to help any Sportsman racer at any level. At least give the program an honest chance to succeed.

Merry Christmas and have Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Yes, it is nice to see the Mopar group still supporting sportsman racing. It is great for the drag pack guys but for the old iron guys who can't afford to step up to one, the contingency is still the best support out there. We still need parts for our old iron including the Hemi's. If the blocks dry up again then so will the Hemi shootout. For me I could use an R3 block at a 'reasonable' price. After market aluminum heads are another problem, they are too big for stock, so to make them right it costs way to much. Hemi shootout guys should be allowed to run aluminum heads, everyone else can & it would greatly reduce their costs.

Larry you got this right... Give some people the goose that lays the golden eggs and they complain she is too slow laying them... At least Mopar knows there is a sportsman side of racing...

From our house to yours... Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year!!!!

Maybe if you compare how many "1918" cars to "1968" cars that are now raced, no representation is my point. Pay any Mopar, not just the Drag-Pac cars. These "old" cars have fought on the front lines for years, and now being swept under the rug by Fiat. Just like the Pro-Stock fiasco, another money ploy run by bean counters. Fiat by-passed the smart builders in Pro Stock and the Drag-Pacs, we see how that worked out. The brains have checked out and went home.
Rant over
From what I have read, it appears that you are building a Stocker. Mopar has posted contingency for several parts. Maybe you could buy something from them and reap the reward when you win?

Agreed. It drives me nuts every time that something positive happens it gets turned into a negative on here. This new deal takes nothing away from the old cars. It just adds incentive to Drag Pak owners. Maybe I will fix mine one day.......

Merry Christmas from Daren and Veronica

Both pay contingency. In fact Chevrolet went way over budget this year!

Its great to see the support seems like Mopar has by far the most support for sportsman racers, both new and old......R3 blocks should not only be affordable, but available....even the 360 dragpak R3 block falls into the not available catagory....If the foundries are going to get active again, might as well make some R3 Gen3 blocks too, more HP potential for the now older product dragpak and streetcar 5.7-6.4 crowd.
