Adjustable front struts for Mustang who's to run?
Fox body Mustangs 79-93 with an auto. Who has the better struts? Single adjustable or double adjustable. Is doubles worth the extra money in a 11 to 12 second stocker. Singles are about $100 each doubles are about $450 each.

Re: Adjustable front struts for Mustang who's to run?
When I ran my 89 in Stock I used normal 90/10's with Moroso Trick front springs. Make sure the control arm bushings fit smoothly in the K member with no bind. I would 60' in the low to mid 1.50's when it ran low 12's in N/SA or G/FIA. Going high 11's or low 12's you dont need double adjustables IMO. For the money I would buy the single adjustables from Strange Engineering. Hope this helps.

I'm currently using QA1's.

Contact Calvert Racing, he was swapping struts quite a bit in testing the new CJ500. I'll bet he has a new product.

Run the Alum. bodied single Qa1's on my Edge mustang, work fine and shed a few pounds off the nose. Joe

in my experience, the adjustable struts only fit an 87-up. They have larger front brakes and different spindles from the 79-86. The QA1's wouldn't fit my 84 model and Strange only lists their adjustable units for 87-up.

Re: Adjustable front struts for Mustang who's to run?
My car is a GT 350. I had to put a ball joint on it last spring before I left for Mooresville.
I got one for an 84 GT and it did not fit. I went back and asked for one for an 84 SVO and it fit. My car, being a 20th anniversary model, must have a conglomeration of parts, but the adjustable struts still did not fit. Chris Alstons chassis works also makes a double adjustable strut for the fox body cars. I have run lakewoods on my car for 10 years.

Santuff if you have more money than you know what to do with, or QA-1's if you want the most bang for the buck. Works on my car.
