Default Differences between Comp and a Modified engines

I was curious if there are any major differences between Comp Eliminator Engines and Super Stock modified engines. I would assume there are some longevity things you could do to modified engines to extend they're life and limit damage on parts by putting some beefier valvetrain parts in the modified engine vs a comp motor that lives on the edge. I would also assume most guys would run less rpm as well. Anyway just curious, thanks!
