Default Mid Atlantic .90 Season Opener @ Atco - April 27-28th

The Mid Atlantic .90 Series will kick off its 2019 season on April 27-28th at the famed Atco Dragway in Atco, NJ for Race #1 & 2. The series that consists of Super Comp, Gas & Street will have an action packed weekend to kick off the year. On Saturday, Gates will open at 8am (weather permitting) for Race #1. Time runs will start beginning around 9-9:30 so please be ready & teched in (no car will be allowed down the track unless teched in by a Atco official) for Q1 when called to the lanes. There is a Buick, olds, Pontiac event in the AM with us so they will probably be out first followed by Super Street, Comp and then Gas for Q1, then Q2 will follow shortly after. The plan will be to try to get 1 or 2 rounds completed before the bracket race starts up around 1pm and then mingle in with them as time goes on and be done by 5-6pm depending on car counts. There is No Test & Tune that day!

The 2nd Annual Beth Keister Memorial Meatball Feast will kick off at 6pm sharp at my trailer on that Saturday and all drivers and crew are welcomed as always for a FREE Meal!

If you choose to runt he Bracket Race that night it is $80 entry and $50 buyback after 1st round if you happen to lose.

On Sunday, Gates once again open at 8am with Q1 kicking off at 9 - 9:30. Depending on new entries from Saturday we may do 1 time run and go into R1. This will help get everyone on the road early and home at a decent time. That day they have Nostalgia, Motorcycles and Chevy vs Ford Showdown with NO Test & Tune again.

Friday Night if you come to park it is $10 per person
Gate Entry: $30 per day / Crew $15 per day.

You may also leave your rigs at the track for the following weekends PC Richards & Sons NHRA Nationals Open on May 3rd to the 5th. So since VMP is now in October this race will be a great warm-up race to kick the season off. We also will have some -additional contingency news in the next few weeks to release.

Rotation for Saturday April 27th

9am: Junior Dragsters will run Qualifier #1 & 2 along with 1st round before any big cars hit the track.

10:30ish: Olds, Buick Pontiac (About 20-25 Cars) for Q1 following them will be Q1 of the .90 classes. Rotation will be as follows - Super Street, Super Gas & Super Comp. we will then repeat with R2 of Juniors and Q2 of Olds, Buick, Pontiac and .90’s

R1 should start at or about 1pm. We have a lot to get through that day so once the sheets get posted with 1st round pairings, find that person (I can point them out of you don’t know who they are), settle up Lane choice so when we call you, it’s an easy pairing in the lanes. Atco can get bottlenecked at the top of the lanes so if you don’t want to be first pull all the way to the front and tell your opponent that. This will make it easy on all of us to get the day done at an early time and give time for those of you who want to jump into the bracket race later that evening.

Sunday will also start at 9am with Nostalgia, Chevy vs Ford, Motorcycle and then the .90 cars. Weather right now for Sunday is calling for late afternoon showers. We will monitor it as the week progresses but, it maybe a 1 Time Shot and into elimination. I wanted to give everyone a heads-up of the plan if the weather forecast stays the same.
