Lane Choice for Q/R, S/R & H/R at IHRA Pro Am's
Hello
I thought lane choice for Q/R, S/R, & H/R was done with a deck of cards at the head of the staging lanes. I recently had a conversation with another racers, that was in the finals and the cards were pulled and he was told he had lane choice. Then the other racer complained no I have lane choice, I had the better reaction time in the last round. Lane choice was given to the other racer! Is this correct? Is this how it is always done? I have never been in a final, so I really don't know, but I really thought it was always done with a deck of cards from the 1st rd all the way to the final rd. Of course inless the cars are put on a ladder. Cal HR 1177 |

I know the Bye car is based off the best reation time the previous round and if no bye the bye car gets lane choice. Every Final I've been in we went off the Card draw. Where did this happen? Mike Baker needs to be made aware so they can have a ruling on this to prevent it from happening again.
I have no problem either way but it needs to be clarified. Chip |
