Gas prices ???
Well in EARLY January it only took 4 days for gas prices to go up 66 CENTS per gal in NE Illinois from$3.89 to $4.55 and this morning 4/20 THREE MONTHS LATER they have finally hit $3.99 at a few stations. Diesel is anywhere from $3.85 to $4.19 depending where you buy it--- What's it like in other areas??? FED387

Re: Gas prices ???
Happens every time….think back, a .30 per gal. rise within a couple of weeks. Eight + weeks later a slow 1-2 cent decrease per week bringing the total increase back down to .20 per gal. The general public is now thinking “wow, glad it’s not still up .30". The distributors get and keep their targeted .20 increase and the consumer’s outrage is somewhat defused by the temporary decrease and don’t bitch as much. It’s all about marketing mind games by the fuel distributors. The fact that they intentionally decrease the price after they run it up effectively squelches public outcry. How many more times will or can the consumer allow this to happen before it really does cripple our economy?
