Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
Here's a pic of the 1970 AAR Cuda my Dad (Jim Patton, Race Director) and I raced at Cornhusker. We pulled the 340 6-pack to race with a 383. I also included a pic of the 1963 Savoy 426 Max Wedge Aluminum Body he raced at tracks before Cornhusker was opened.

Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
Does any one remember a White1969 Mercury Montego raced as a f/sa car in the early 70's from the Omaha area?

Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
I have some questions for us "Old timers".....does anyone remember Chuck Cervani (serve-an-e) from South Omaha. He had a garage....I believe it was called C&S Automotive....he raced a bubble top 61 Chevy.....348, I believe. Chuck helped me with some 4 speed problems prior to me being drafted.....I believe he died at a very young age....maybe in the late 60's... he wouldn't have raced at Cornhusker Raceway park, but he did race at Flight Land.
Another question is: does anyone have a picture of Charlie Jacob's, altered wheel base, 66 Chevelle??? (Black, with Charlies speed and machine on the doors)...... Also, does anyone remember the "Speed Shops" in Omaha.... Raceland....around 40th street, between Farnam and Douglas????? the other Speed Shop was Charlies speed and Machine.....as I recall, around 70th and Blondo......Seems like Charlie ran the machine shop, and his wife "Rose????" ran the counter... Does anyone have any different memories?

Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
My dad would remember all of them having grown up near 72 and blondo. Rose is still working the counter at Charlies in Blair Ne and her sons run the successful machine shop and dyno.
