My favorite is The Old Reliable.
Next would be the Green Meanie. The first real race car I built. 1968 B/MP Camaro.

Dick Butler....how bout Norm Reis's A/C car? Lickem' and Stickem. Then Dick Palochvich's 53 Chevy with Ford Power, Half Breed. Ohio George is still something. I got my start hanging out at his shop as a young kid. Still speak to him 3-4 times a year.

Re: Cool race car names!
Bryan, you forgot "Second Effort"...
One of Dad's earlier race cars was a 70 Camaro he ran in SS and Modified in the 70's named "The Hillbilly Flash". Several cars from that era Bobby Baker named previously, ran at Riverside in Proctorville, OH and Kanawha Valley in Winfield, WV...back in the day. A few others I remember, "Almost Heaven" green 69 AMX, the Marshall Tucker Band cars made their treks through the area before and after they were bought from the band. Can't remember the name of the car; but a guy by the name of Joe Lemley (sp) ran a fastback Corvette in modified with a straight six. As a young kid growing up at the track, I loved those cars with the catchy names and slogans. How about "Mama's Mink", Joe and Alice Tysinger. Those were the days... Ronnie, Jr. |

Re: Cool race car names!
Did anyone mention the Sox & Martin cars with 'Lil Boss and The Boss Cuda's. Great thread by the way. Also remember the Bits & Pieces 4 door '60 Chevy of Kronenbitters from the Zanesville Oh area.
