Default AMC Spirit Q/SA for Sale

Updated:

Engine is an AMC 304 rebuilt in 2008 by JTL Automotive in NJ. Comp Cam and lifters. 2 barrel Motorcraft Carb. New wires and plugs back in 2010. I have probably put about 70 - 80 runs on the engine since 2008 as I stepped away from racing for a few years.

The car has a roll-bar, updated the belts in October 2012 to run the Dutch Classic. It has a fuel cell and weight box in the hatch-back area. Jegs racing wheels (New 26 inch Hoosier slicks). 5.16 gears with a spool (posi went back in 2010 and was cheaper / quicker to throw in a spool).

The car has a history of being competitive. Bub Miller won the 2000 Topeka Nationals in O/SA dialing the index (I believe that was 13.45 at that point in time). http://dragracecentral.com/DRCPhoto....ilter=Year2000

I bought the car from Eric and Scott Pearson from up in Minnesota. Eric was competitive in the IHRA with this car.

It has also been fairly consistent for myself. It was running 13.40-60's depending on the weather, but it has been 5 years since the last rebuild and the car was running slow the two times I had it out on the 1/4 mile (was at least under the IHRA index) so I'd say it is need of a freshening or maybe even a tune-up. Actually the last time out it ran a 8.60 in the 1/8th mile which is 1 tenth under.

Can e-mail more pictures since I can't figure out how to directly post them here.

My asking price is $7,000 but as stated above: if someone comes along with a good cash offer or good trade proposal, I'll at least listen. I am willing to trade for a project that already has work put into it (i.e: a roller with a roll-bar, fuel cell, and rear-end already done). A '85 to '93 Mustang might be strongly considered depending on what parts are included.
