Default Scoop Advice 63 Vette Roadsetr

I am needing to change the scoop on my 63 roadster. the scoop is too short and places carb about an 1 1/2" from inside of scoop top. I am wanting to be able to install throttle stop so I can run some .90 races, I currently have the original suncoast ultra scoop(short version). I do not want to have to do a bunch of hacking on the hood to fit the new scoop. anybody got any ideas or has switched to one of the newer style scoops? would like to find one that will fit my original hood opening with maybe minor trimming. any ideas?
thanks

Mike, shoot me an email with your phone and address for the dragster giveaway ticket. I also have an answer for your hood scoop issue if you still need it. raclown@aol.com
