There rates are reasonable. I had a car stolen, and they handled it extremely well. They paid off the car the next day, and cut me a check for the balance a few days later. Set me up with a rental car, and my rates never went up. I was worried about the book value being less than what I owed, but I ended up with $2k in my pocket (this was 1993).

Regarding State Farm, had the best agent, he was my folks and mine, my brothers, Aunt and Uncle, Grandmother, etc. He retired. State Farm split us all up. I got a lady who seemed OK, then I bought another house, had to get the ins paid and ready for closing. Got a quote for the same coverage and went in to pay and take reciept to closing. She said she made a mistake and figured the quote on the wrong dedectable, either I was to pay twice the quote or take a higher deductable. I took the higher to keep the costs as I budgeted for. 8 days later we had a terrible ice storm, major damage and that deductable hurt. Her mistake cost her my account after that. Next time I will choose the agent myself.

I have had the same State Farm agent since 1968. Have everything covered by them, very good people so far. Dyno

I was referring to Auto Insurance. Damage from storms is a tricky area with ALL insurers.

Not with State Farm. I had over 350K in damages from a tornado may 25,2011. They have been great and have paid everything I asked for no questions asked and even waved my deductables because they could not pay for the kids junk go cart that was finished off by it (my home owners policy only pays for vehicles that are used in the maint of the property) If they doubled my rates I would not switch. I was prepared for a bunch of headaches and they made it seem easy.

I wouldn't give socialist George Soros a nickel of my money, and who the *&^& in their right mind would WILLINGLY put a tracking device in their car for a company to spy on them?
A cell phone is bad enough, but some state governments want to use these devices to monitor miles and collect road taxes.

I have everything I own with USAA Insurance. When I got the motorhome they told me they did not insure them and sent me to Progressive. Currently I have my golf cart and the motorhome insured with Progressive bit I would certainly be willing to change over if I could find another insurer who I could trust and had a good reputation.
