I have had good experiences with Calico in the past. They seem to have good customer service and quick turn around.
The coatings provide you insurance; all the coating really does is retain oil. Some engines such as my Pontiac have a real problem with uncovering the oil pick up at launch and if you cannot figure out a way to add a baffle to your stock pan to prevent this using coated bearings really helps prevent you from burning up your crank.
