Default Indy...No Horsepower Factoring

What do you all think of the new rule just posted on NHRA for Stock and Stock runs being excluded from Automatic Horsepower Factoring System at Indy.

Since the new cars are in their own classes, cool!

I like it. It will get run it just like the opens and let people play. I can't think of anything not to like about it.

Sounds cool. I wonder how many cars will be 1.5 or more under??

As a side note - - How about letting all cars run in the eliminator, instead of just 128.
The quota for Indy in Stock and Super Stock is 180, would only add 1 round to the eliminations if all cars ran.

NHRA even has a provision in the rule book for point distribution of fields over 129. See 2016 rule book - Points and Related Programs Section 3 page 3.

Eric
I totally agree.

The only downside is that a .800 under won't cut it this year if the quota is 128
