I know, Ed. I was using them as a previous example. NHRA could use anything as a time-killer. Jets, wheelstanders, heads-up door cars, etc etc etc.

But they still cannot regularly run National Events without Sportsman Racers. These guys are joined at the hip with Sportsman Racers, whether they like it or not.

The only way to improve our position is if NHRA loses it's grip on their sanctioned tracks.Those contracts kepps other venues that compete with NHRA at bay.Notice that Christianson is now affiliated with NHRA?He was a threat to them.to lessen the threat they
merged their resource with his popularity.In short,if you want to race at an NHRA affiliated track,and you are a threat to NHRA,you pay up or go somewhere else.That's their strenght period.
