The 1987 IROC Camaro was the first to have a 350. Automatic only

Correct & correct. The question was "first year for TPI", not first year for a 350" TPI in a Camaro/Firebird. 1985 was the first year for TPI.

Got the whole thing tore down, yes it was rebuilt. Two bolt block, one - piece rear seal, .060 over hyper pistons. The 261? heads are 1.72/1.5 valved with large chambers, totally useless except for shop cores. I plan to sell the TPI setup, manifold, runners, plenum, throttle body, and fuel rails. Those parts are from an 85-87 F-body. The bottom end will be cleaned up with new bearings/rings and sold either like that or running with different heads. I'm keeping the exhaust manifolds with the air tubes and connected lines for that system.
