Default 65 chevelle front end??

I am in the process of finishing a 65 elcamino to race in ss/ma. I have the back half done and am ready to rebuild the front end. Any tips before I get started. springs shocks bushings .

Be careful.
Trim the teeth off the ends of the new control arm bushing sleeves so the sleeve will rotate on the fastener and not preload the rubber bushings, so the control arms move freely throughout the range of motion. Use the correct interference nuts on the bolts so you don't have to over torque them and put the bushings in a bind.
When you install the new springs, it will take some time for the front to settle, best if you can get some road travel on the springs to help that out. Don't cut them off if the front is too high, give them some time.

Buy, rent, or borrow a ball joint press, makes life so much easier.

Save yourself the headache and get the Front Bushings from Global West or UB Machine.
