I Didn't Expect This
I didn’t expect that to happen, and I was really speaking in terms of having people support the printed efforts of the few drag racing publications out there.

Re: I Didn't Expect This
John
Is this the last Drag Racing print publication?? Looked around and many have gone away of the internet. I will be honest I gave up my Dragster subscription from a cost vs content concerns. Way too much on the pros and there personnel life. I really don't care what they eat or how there golf game is going. The store magazines are just too boring and tech is geared to parts sales. Thanks

Re: I Didn't Expect This
We're not the last Drag Racing publication as there is also Drag Illustrated along with several small titles out there, with each of us sort of attempting to cater to the different factions of the sport. Drag Racing Edge was begun to hopefully bridge the gap between a bunch of different avenues similar to what the old SS&DI was like in the early days. But the publication world is changing. Whether it's print or web-based, you can be sure the stories are triggered by ad sales in some way. That's just the way it is today. We try to balance that and just lay out the facts in either a tech or profile story. But I do understand the frustration.

Re: I Didn't Expect This
John, roughly 40 years ago SS&DI had a feature in their magazine one month titled “Stockerology” featuring stories on about 4 or 5 different stocker combos, 2 of them being the Cloutier, Nevin, & Steel Cobra Jet and Don McElroy’s ‘69 Camaro. I’m sure if you had more articles like this you would gin up several more subscribers from this Class Racer website. The article detailed what it took to make those cars competitive. I’m sure several guys on here remember that issue too. Just a suggestion...
