Ed, who was the aforementioned west coast headers company? I don't like them either. PM if you don't want to broadcast it, I keep a list of "do not support" companies and their name goes on the list.

On the dyno at Matt Steen's Victory Engines, we tested straight 1-3/4 dyno headers with a standard collector, Hooker straight 1-3/4" with a Performance Welding merge collector, a set of good 1-5/8" to 1-3/4" step headers with the same merge collector and the Elston Tri-y's.

Average h.p. on the Elston's was up 12. -Al

Allan,
I do not know a lot of people in stock but I think Ed will agree with me. My 305 runs a tenth faster with Stahl’s on it. I know I’m probably old school but there is no bull **** in my numbers!

Not at the time of the header test. We did change cams later, though.

Couldn't agree more, James. Stahl headers always have been, and continue to be, extremely good.

Wish we still had Jere. The most interesting person I ever visited with. His wife Judy told me once she tried to keep him off the phone, because his conversations always ran on too long, tying phone lines up, so customers could not get through to place orders, and he sometimes hurt the feelings of people not aquatinted with him. LOL
I think he was the brightest person I ever talked to. Jere introduced my to Bill Jenkins once. Not nearly as talkative as Jere. LOL
