davy,

Alan and Larry are correct, Edelbrock discontinued the Q-jet carburetor line almost two years ago. Anything you find now is new old stock. Edelbrock does, however, still carry tuning parts (jets, rods, hangers, etc.).

Edelbrock actually used the same company (Magnetti Merelli) that
Rochester used to produce the carbs for them, so there is no advantage/disadvantage one way or the other. The 1901 and 1902 carbs were the small Q-jet (1.093" primary venturi) and the 1903, 1904, and 1910 were the large Q-jet (1.218" primary venturi). You can still find these on ebay like Alan mentioned, or I do still have a stock of new ones in inventory.

It's too bad that no one has stepped up to re-start production of these carbs. I keep my fingers crossed, but as time goes by, I believe the likelihood of that happening gets less and less.

Hope this helps.

Dean

You can get the remanufactured Edelbrock Q-Jets #1902 ( #9972 ) and #1903 ( #9973 ) from Jeg's and Summit with Jeg's being a little less expensive. I have blueprinted some of these and other than not having the Edelbrock tags, they look new. The ones I did didn't even appear to have been bolted on. I wouldn't be afraid to recommend them to a customer. Danny @ Q-Jet Performance.
