Re: Blowing oil out of trans?
Mine has done that. Once with standard dipstick, and last time with locking dipstick. Both were because of having almost 1 qt too much in it, and having the vent clogged. I thought case was busted last time. Drain the trans, refill and mark the new dipstick, with a notch on it, to new full mark, and run it 1/2 qt below that, at most.
"Thinkin with ya dipstick !" Right Jeff ?!

Re: Blowing oil out of trans?
Thanks guys, I passed on the info and he says it looks like it was a combination of what you guys said. The vent hose sliped down some and looks like it got restricted. He checked the stick and it is not tight enough in the tube. Lastly he believes that it might have been slightly overfiled. I know he is relieved to hear these things. Lastly, you guys that run a catch/puke can what type do you use? Thanks again to all the responses.

Re: Blowing oil out of trans?
I use a JAZ plastic, one pint overflow. Just run a rubber hose from the vent to the overflow that I have mounted on the firewall. Cheap, lightweight and easy to mount.
