Re: Team Woodfin's Bantam Roadster Build

Re: Team Woodfin's Bantam Roadster Build
No dyno for now, it is an option for later. The plan is to make some shake down runs and see what we have then make that decision.
Judging by head flow and other parameters ET is expected 4.60 - 4.50 range 1/8 mile. Another round of updates coming soon.

Re: Team Woodfin's Bantam Roadster Build
The fine fall weather has us back on task with Jeff's roadster.
It is our plan to stay on task to completion. The first track test outing will be March/April of 2017 We have a few photos of Jeff working the wiring. |

Re: Team Woodfin's Bantam Roadster Build
The naming happened during conversation.
At the shop Jeff's uncle was checking out progress while Jeff was fretting over mounting a component. Jeff said, "because of how small this car is we have to give lots of thought to everything we mount. It is like putting 10 pounds of car in a 5 pound sack." Uncle said, " O, like Dolly Parton" After a time of reflection, Jeff named the roadster "Dolly" |

Re: Team Woodfin's Bantam Roadster Build
We are due an update with Jeff's roadster.
The last few weeks have shown huge strides in progress. One very large leap forward came from Jeff completing the EFI wiring. Doing so required moving the roadster to Jeff's home so he could focus on it un-interrupted. It is a tedious job and the daily operations and distraction of the shop were bogging down the process. I am very proud of his work, he did a great job and put the project back on fast track. [so to speak] The shocks are a new Strange design with oil reservoir, they move nice and smooth. |
