If you're into 23 sbc's, you might appreciate this start up
Initial start up with our new legal 4150 DXP Street induction setup. 427 3.875 Callies Magnum x 4.185 Ross pistons 5.85 Callies Ultra rods. The camshaft is just under 1" of lift, Jesel steel shaft rockers, BES All Pro 23 RR, Motown Billet cap, Melling billet sharks tooth with our new IRD 4150 carb and a Dart intake Walt a local porter did the work on. We haven't ran it on the dyno yet with the new 4150 induction, but it made 850hp with the old 4500.
It took us 3 years to round everything up $$$ in order to assemble the engine for a long time friend, I've done several engines for now, over the years. Pretty interesting build. We anticipate it seeing the track for the first time in the next few days, I'll post the video here. The rules for DXP Street are 275 dot radial, 3,000 lbs, sbc only, 300hp NOS cheater plate only, 4150 induction only, heads up pro tree start 1/8 mile. It's a 5.0, 4.9 class at the top of the field. Pretty cool class. Affordable within reach. The car we have is a leaf spring car 66 Chevy ll. with the chassis certed 6.50 1/4 mile. Any questions I have several photo's of the build. Yes sir, stock suspension 275 dot radial. Mini tub ok, sbc, sbf, sbm 3000 lbs. They ran the class for the first time at Lights Out SGMP. We missed it because we didn't get our 4150 intake completed in time.
We got it done and fired it first time last weekend. This is the initial startup 4150 induction carb and intake. Ours is a leafspring stock suspension 66 Chevy II. |

Here's an image of one of the transmissions I did for the car to race Lights Out. This is a 1.64 low gear. I did a 1.58 for the car as well, but a big name intake company in Florida dropped the ball on us last minute and we missed the race. Last edited by Mike Rietow; 04-28-2020 at 09:50 PM. |

We run a rare 9" Cortina core PTC just reconfigured for us. These 9" cores are very rare out of an Australian Ford and can be tailored for wide range of power 1600hp plus.
I've been sitting on this converter 20 years, does a lot for a 9" core. Last edited by Mike Rietow; 04-28-2020 at 09:59 PM. |
