Re: Used dually recommendations and watchouts please
Guys, I happen to have a 2007 Classic GMC 3500 SLT. It only has 25,000 miles on it and includes pretty much all of the options. Stored winters etc etc. I'll post it in the for sale section as soon as I can get some pictures taken but thought someone in this thread may be interested. I'll repost here when the add is up.

Re: Used dually recommendations and watchouts please
2003 Dodge 1 ton dually, 150,000 miles. I towed a 28 ft enclosed trailer with a 4000lb '58 Pontiac in it and got 14.5 mpg and I drive fast.
Wouldn't have any other kind of truck. But Dodge transmissions are not as good as the Allison and my dash has cracked in both Dodges I have had. I live along a couple miles of rough dirt roads, if you lived on asphalt it shouldn't be a problem. Good luck, JimR

Bill, what kind of mileage do you get, towing and not? Jim, my last Dodge was a 98, and two trans later I went Duramax/Allison. I have heard that Dodge has gotten a lot better with their newer automatics... thanks again all! |
