Ron Hutter Pro Stock
Anyone here have any photos of or info. on the Ron Hutter owned early pro stock camaros from Ohio? I know a 68 camaro he had is owned by a guy with the UMTR stick racers. Any idea the whereabouts of some of the others?
I remember called them "Canned Heat" painted on the Grump Lump hood. |

Re: Ron Hutter Pro Stock
Thanks for posting the pics. The red 68 I believe is the one owned by the guy in the umtr. It has wheel tubs and ladder bars now. Funny the fiberglass front end off of that car was for sale on ebay a few years ago. Same lettering, stickers and all. Suppose to have been stored in the attic at stahls header shop for some reason. Watched these cars as a kid at thompson drag raceway near Cleveland in the early 70's. I believe Mike Valerio was the driver.

Re: Ron Hutter Pro Stock
The Modified racers used to call his engines Hutter Putters and they were all really fast!!!!
I know one racer named Eddie Marshall who has used Ron Hutter Engines since the early 70's and still uses them today and swears by his engines. Jim Hill |

Re: Ron Hutter Pro Stock
Ian Landies also drove the early Camaros. I remember reading in National Dragster years ago that Joanne Iarrussi's Vega Super Gasser was originally a Ron Hutter Pro Stocker.
Here's a link about the front end on e-bay: https://bangshift.com/bangshift1320/...ros-nose-sale/ |
