TH200 Deep Pan
A little background info
My car had be going dead steady 1.50 in 60 Picked up some power, go out for first race a couple weeks ago Car is getting slower in 60 every pass, down to 1.59 (no wheelspin) and getting really sluggish going into reverse. Playback shows that it is hitting about 300 rpm higher and not hanging there like it used to. My TH200 only has the stock pan and I didn't realize running them over full was required, So I beleive it's started to burn up the clutches. Anyhow I'd like to get the Turbo Action Pan with the pickup relocator, but the website says that it is now pan only (although picture shows everything), meanwhile jegs still shows it being a whole kit. Is it still a whole kit or am I out of luck? Any other suggestions?

Re: TH200 Deep Pan
The 200-C pan is deeper than the THM-200 pan. The 200-C which was built from 1981-1988 was set up with the deeper pan, with a matching filter. Fluid level should be set hot at the full mark on the dipstick, which is even with the pan gasket. Check to make sure the hot full mark is even with the gasket, and matching pan and filter is used. Overfilling an automatic becomes a problem, because if the oil level gets up in the rotating parts, it will froth up like a milkshake, and will lead to oil coming out the breather.

Re: TH200 Deep Pan
Just put a Stef's on it. We put them on every TH200 we build. Less expensive than Turbo Action, much much lighter, and better fluid control. The Stef's pan has internal fluid control and uses a small Chrysler filter set to the back of the pan. We always set our fluid level one inch below the pan rail which puts the fluid right at the bottom of the valve body and it is has never been an issue with the Stef's pan.
