Aluminum floor jack for trailer

Does anyone know who makes a decent compact aluminum floor jack to keep in the trailer? Craftsman makes a decent one but they don't seem to last I've been through two of them and I don't want to buy another.

The Craftsman aluminum jacks are junk! You can't even get parts to rebuild the newer ones. Mine broke a month after the 1 year warranty, and they would not stand behind it.

I can't believe I am going to say this, but my Harbor freight aluminum jack is what I use at the track, it's compact and never failed. I believe it is a 1.5 ton. I also keep a 15-20 ton bottle jack in the trailer if I have a trailer/truck need.

yep, a craftsman jack failed me a day before I left for a race. picked up a harbor freight jack on the way to the track and have never looked back. its probably been 3 or 4 years with the HF jack without any regrets

I bought one of those pretty Craftsman one about 12 years ago. I think I paid $99.00 for it, got it home and it didn't want to do anything. Since it would be about 100 miles round trip to take it back, I figured if it's broke, you can't break it. I just added some more oil after playing around with some adjustment screws and it works great.If I can jack up my trailer with my car on it to change a tire, what's not to like.Only complaint is it takes getting used to when lowering things slowly. Harbor Freight has an aluminum one on sale now -$59.95 with their coupon - is this the same one you guys are talking about .My Craftsman worked well for a couple of years and a $5 part broke but they can't get me one - shame to throw it out but ....

That's the one Jack!

The cylinder on my Craftsman is what went. Non rebuildable is what I was told. Still kind of works, but not like it is supposed to.

I'll be heading to Harbor Freight to fetch me one - sixty bucks is worth the gamble .
