That's what it seems. According to Bloomburg Summit is a business name for Autosales Inc. A-Tech is a wholesale division of Summit.

The question is why these bearings? Were they supposed to be good?

Those are clevite 77 bearings and yes I've received several sets like this. But usually they are opened in box. Also have received them with a rough inside surface.

Bearings and rings are ultra stressed stuff and need to be top shelf.
They're Clevite, Atech is Summit's wholesale parts warehouse. If you think I'm sourcing Chinese parts you should go back and refresh yourself with this build.

And as a reference to "nice stuff" this did make me laugh, since all your stuff is as nice as the nicest.

Jeg's sold wholsale under the name Buckeye Sales going back many years.

Summit has used the A-Tech name for years as well and sells std parts and accessories to various places and sends out retail catalogs

Dan Fletcher featured the brand years ago.....on his cars...

I bought a lot of stuff from Buckeye sales back in the 1980's...and Joe Amato's Keystone Warehouse was another big supplier o parts.....they sold to everyone and delivered every day and probably still do.....in my area...

When local speed shops that we bought from on a wholesale level slowly went under...

The big guys survived....

I check it daily. Don't be offended. It's very easy to wind up with Chinese made goods without regards to the name on the box. I think my Eagle crank is machined in America from a blank cast in China or Korea. The new Tacoma Narrows bridge near here is Korean steel. Nothing comparable is available from US manufactures. What a shame.

I have King rod bearings and piston rings. Seems to be a US based company. Clevite makes my mains. They are Mahle which is a German company. Very good product.

Good luck getting your mill back up and running.

This looks like a return that just got put back on the shelf without inspecting it....

I am sure that A-Tech would want to know about the problem..

They have always been a good company to work with in the past...

What was the manufacturing date on the bearings? I agree with Bob, these had to be parts that were returned to A-Tech.

See you at the races,
