Default Super street diapers

after years of sweat and money i'm ready to get back out and run super street at the etown race in sept. the car has no diaper on it right now. i hear that the diaper is optional at this point is that true, or will i get bumped out of tech because of not having one.

also, the hanns device is also to be rummered to be a required idem in the future. anyone have any updates on this being the real deal, or will the rummors continue/

You don't need to have one at this point in time, but several of us do. It really helps you if the motor lets go. Dennis at DRE can fix you up....................

Here in the NW I have heard of some tracks already requiring them for ET racers. Like everyone else said, it's cheap insurance in the event of an engine failure. As someone who has taken out several sections of top end guardrail (broke a rod at about 1000'), I feel much safer running one.

Regards,

A friend of mine ran Super Street at the Englishtown national. He was told at tech that he needed a diaper if he went over 135MPH. Not as easy as it sounds on a stock front end Camaro!

Thumbs up Re: Super street diapers

DRE made me one for the front end of a 66 Chevy II. Stef's pan with a hole for steering rod to pass through. Thing fits like a glove. Will be ordering another here in a few weeks for new engine with a dry sump set up. Went through tech and '08 Gators and the inspector called the rest of the inspectors over to look at it. If DRE can put a diaper on my nova, they can probably put one on anything. Customer service second to none.

Dennis is reat to work with and like Griggs, my mopar had a hole through the pan for steering and it fits like a glove. i bought mine last year and the first pass with it on i broke a rod at the big end and i know for a fact that i still got the car today because of it.
